This program facilitates communication for individuals with Down syndrome that have limited speaking ability by using the iPad.
UCF students entering the teaching profession and their professors work with our 4-9-year-olds and their parents one weekend a month. The program provides research-based methods proven to help children learn reading and math while working on speech, OT, and social skills.
This program teaches teens and tweens mindfulness and self-awareness through yoga in a supportive and creative environment.
College? Really? Yes! Participants and UCF students explore various parts of community life, from navigating campus to building a budget to exploring healthy eating and exercise options. There is an activity for young adults, while speakers educate the parents about how to facilitate independence after high school.
The iCan! Work program is a vocational program through the Down Syndrome Foundation of Florida. The program provides on the job training and pre-vocational experiences for adults with Down syndrome.
iCan! Bike teaches ANYONE over the age of 8 how to ride a two-wheel bicycle in just one week. (Yes! It's true!) The program has about an 80% success rate.
This is more than just a surf day - you’re giving your loved one real skills that will promote inclusion and a healthy lifestyle. It’s an investment in their future!
