Welcome to our research-based, results-driven, and effective iCan! Learn Program!  We would love for you and your child, ages 4–9, to join us!

Since the program's inception in 2014, we have continued to refine and strengthen the iCan! Learn Program through our partnerships with our friends at the University of Central Florida’s College of Community Innovation and Education and the Toni Jennings Exceptional Education Institute.  The program is also supported by the UCF School of Communication Sciences and Disorders and, new this year, the AdventHealth Master of Occupational Therapy Program.

The program is designed to supplement traditional school by providing children with additional opportunities to strengthen their academic, communication, sensory-motor, and developmental skills.

Children and parents attend simultaneous monthly sessions. During each session, children are placed into three groups and rotate through:

• Reading Group – focused on developing and strengthening literacy skills.
• Sensory-Motor Group – activities designed to support sensory processing, fine motor skills, and overall development.
• Speech Therapy Group – activities focused on communication and language development.

All groups are led by UCF directors, professors, doctoral students, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, and amazing, committed volunteers. All students, whether new or returning to the program, participate at a level appropriate for their individual needs.

One of the most valuable parts of iCan! Learn is the opportunity for parents to come together, share ideas and strategies, learn from one another, and feel supported throughout their journey.

While the children participate in their groups, parents have the opportunity to learn from professionals through research-based best practices and practical strategies. Topics may include Executive Functioning and exploring what the future can look like for you and your child.

Parents will also have the opportunity to connect with some of our experienced parents from the iCan! College & Career Program, gaining insight and perspective from families who have already navigated different stages of the journey.

Age: Children ages 4–9
The participant must be 4 by September 1st each year and must be under 10 by September 1st.

Location: University of Central Florida 
Time: 9:00 AM–11:00 AM
Please plan to arrive by 8:45 AM to allow time for on-campus parking and classroom drop-off.

A parent or guardian and the child are expected to attend class every month.

Cost: $25 per class, plus a $50 registration fee for families who have their child attending with them. The registration fee will be waived if you pay for the full program in advance. The program cost covers all materials for the class and home, along with the monthly sessions.
